• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 3x12-hour day shifts (06:00 – 19:30)
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,260 – $2,380
• On-call: Required (weekday and weekend call rotation)
• Guaranteed Hours: Facility may call off once per two-week pay period

Job Requirements

• Active California Registered Nurse license required (must be in hand at time of submission)
• Minimum 1 year recent CVOR RN experience required; 2 years preferred
• BCLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred
• LA Fire Card within the last 30 days required
• Experience with Epic electronic charting system preferred
• Ability to float to Main OR and other specialties when cardiac cases are not scheduled
• Two supervisory references covering one year within the last three years
• Willingness to work 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)

Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care as a circulating and assisting CVOR Registered Nurse in a variety of cardiovascular surgical procedures
• Support cases including TAVR, CABG, valve replacements, and other complex cardiac surgeries
• Deliver patient care for adult and geriatric surgical patients in the CVOR and float to Main OR as needed
• Participate in primary and secondary on-call rotations for weekday and weekend coverage
• Maintain strict adherence to infection control, fire safety, laser safety, radiation safety, and universal protocols
• Handle, label, and document specimens accurately and timely
• Administer blood and blood products per hospital policy when indicated
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including IV teams, pharmacy, anesthesia, and unit secretaries
• Float to other OR specialties such as general, ortho, spine, and robotics when required
• Complete orientation and required training modules prior to assignment start
