Radiation Therapist – Travel Contract | White Plains, NY (Hospital)

Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,260 – $2,430 (competitive travel radiation therapist pay)
• Location: White Plains, NY 10601 — Westchester County, easy New York City commute
• Contract Duration: 4 weeks (Start: 5/11/2026, End: 6/8/2026)
• Position Type: Travel Radiation Therapist / Radiation Therapy Job (hospital setting, acute care)
• Shift: 8-hour day shifts, Monday–Friday (8:00am–4:30pm, some schedule flexibility)
• Guaranteed Hours: 37.5 hours per week
• Care Setting: Acute hospital – Radiation Oncology / Oncology Department
• Charting System: EPIC (electronic medical records)
• Equipment: Aria, Varian TrueBeam, AlignRT (experience with linear accelerators/linac preferred)
• Parking: Minimum $1.25/hour
• Holiday Schedule: Closed for major holidays (Memorial Day, Juneteenth, July 4th, Labor Day)

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Radiation Therapist in a clinical or hospital radiation oncology setting
• Valid New York State Radiation Therapist License
• ARRT or ASRT certification (Radiation Therapist)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• COVID-19 vaccination required
• Hands-on experience with Aria, Varian TrueBeam, and AlignRT (patient setup, image guidance, motion management)
• Strong understanding of radiation safety, QA procedures, and regulatory compliance

Responsibilities

• Deliver radiation therapy treatments accurately and safely as prescribed by radiation oncologists
• Operate and maintain radiation therapy equipment including Aria, Varian TrueBeam, and AlignRT
• Perform patient setup, immobilization, and accurate positioning for treatment sessions; verify using image-guided therapy tools
• Conduct daily QA checks on linac equipment and report issues according to hospital protocol
• Document treatment details, patient responses, and progress notes in EPIC
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary oncology teams (physicians, dosimetrists, nurses, medical physicists) to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Adhere to radiation safety policies, HIPAA, and all hospital and regulatory standards
