• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00pm – 7:00am); weekends as needed — night shift ER RN
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Charting System: EPIC
• Orientation: 2 days unit-specific orientation

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year recent Emergency Room nursing experience (2 years preferred) — ER RN, trauma experience a plus
• Active RN license (compact license accepted where applicable)
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required
• Ability to triage and treat both pediatric and adult emergency patients
• Experience with procedural sedation, common ER drips, and reading monitor strips
• Comfortable working in a 10-bed ER with 2 trauma bays and caring for diverse diagnoses including chest pain, abdominal pain, trauma, STEMI, stroke, and military patients
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills — collaborate with physicians, APPs, RTs, CNAs

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency nursing care in a Critical Access Hospital ER — both pediatric and adult patients
• Triage incoming patients, manage ER holds intermixed within the unit, and prioritize care during high census
• Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and perform procedural sedation per unit protocols
• Draw labs, interpret monitor strips, and assist with emergent procedures and trauma care
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes and seamless handoffs
• Document patient care accurately in EPIC and follow unit-specific policies and procedures
