Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,130 - $2,250 (Competitive travel nurse pay)
• Location: Albany, NY 12208
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 27, 2026 – July 26, 2026)
• Shift: 12-Hour Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) — Night shift, Med/Surg pediatric nursing
• Hours per Week: 36
• Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse / Travel Nurse

Pediatric Nurse Requirements

• Minimum 1 year pediatric inpatient experience required; 2 years preferred
• Pediatric Hematology/Oncology experience preferred
• Comfortable managing high flow nasal cannula, tracheostomy care, G-tube and J-tube feedings
• BLS and PALS certifications required
• EPIC EMR experience required (documenting pediatric patient care in EPIC)
• Navy blue scrubs required on unit
• Active RN license in the state of practice (or compact/state-required credentials for travel nurses) preferred

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, family-centered nursing care to pediatric patients in a Med/Surg inpatient setting
• Assess, monitor, and manage children with complex medical needs including respiratory support and enteral feeding devices
• Provide skilled care for patients on high flow nasal cannula, trach care, and tube feedings
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams—including physicians, respiratory therapists, and case managers—to optimize patient outcomes
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and care plans accurately and timely using EPIC EMR
• Maintain a safe, supportive environment for pediatric patients and families and uphold unit protocols
