Job Details

• Location: Ithaca, NY 14850 (Finger Lakes region)
• Unit: 4 North – Med/Surg
• Contract Length: 13 weeks (May 4, 2026 – August 3, 2026)
• Shift: 12-hour nights, 3 shifts per week (Night Shift Travel Nurse / Travel RN)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,130 – $2,250
• Patient Ratio: 1:5 or 1:6
• Type: Travel Contract (Travel Nurse / Travel RN opportunity)

Job Requirements (Med/Surg RN / Telemetry)

• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry (MSTELE) experience in a facility of similar size
• Active RN license (valid in New York)
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required
• Proficiency with Epic EMR (Epic experience required)
• Ability to work weekends as needed
• Maximum of 7 days requested time off (RTO) during contract

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to Med/Surg patients on the 4 North unit (Med/Surg RN responsibilities)
• Monitor, assess, and document patient status and progress using Epic EMR
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and follow medication safety protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, therapists, case managers) to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families on care plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up needs
• Maintain a safe, patient-centered, and supportive environment for patients and staff
