Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,030 – $2,190 (competitive pay for travel radiation therapists)
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (May 31, 2026 – August 29, 2026)
• Setting: Hospital Radiation Therapy Unit / Radiation Oncology
• Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (8 Hour Days)
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week

Job Requirements

• Associate’s degree in Radiation Therapy or Radiologic Science with a certificate in radiation therapy from an accredited program
• Registered or registry-eligible by the ARRT (must obtain registration within one year of graduation)
• Valid Massachusetts state radiation therapist license required
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification
• Two years of experience as a Radiation Therapist required (radiation oncology/hospital experience preferred)
• Excellent interpersonal and patient-care skills for clinical oncology and radiation therapy settings

Responsibilities

• Administer radiation therapy treatments as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist in accordance with treatment plans
• Operate and monitor radiation therapy equipment within departmental policies (including linear accelerator/LINAC operations and treatment setup)
• Ensure patient safety, comfort, and accurate positioning throughout simulation and treatment
• Maintain accurate treatment records, documentation, and treatment charts in the electronic medical record
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary radiation oncology teams—therapists, dosimetrists, and physicians—to deliver high-quality patient care
• Adhere to regulatory, safety, and QA procedures in the radiation therapy unit
