Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,310 – $2,430
• Job Type: Travel Nurse / Contract RN (Labor & Delivery)
• Location: Methuen, MA 01844 (Merrimack Valley; access to Boston & New England coastline)
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (May 12, 2026 – August 10, 2026)
• Shift: 12-hour nights, 3 shifts per week
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Unit: Maternity – Labor & Delivery, Post-Partum, Nursery, Special Care Nursery (SCN)
• Beds: 21
• On-Call: 8 hours per month (can be taken in 4-hour blocks; weekend call 24 hours, weekday call 11pm–7am)
• Scrubs: Provided by facility
• Orientation Dates: May 12 or May 26, 2026

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years recent Labor & Delivery experience (OB nurse, L&D, postpartum, nursery, SCN)
• Experience with Labor & Delivery, Post-Partum care, Well Newborn Nursery, and Special Care Nursery
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
• AWHONN training or equivalent required
• No first-time travelers; prior travel nursing experience preferred
• Registered Nurse license: Massachusetts RN or compact state RN license

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive, evidence-based care to mothers and newborns during labor, delivery, and the post-partum period as a Labor & Delivery RN / OB nurse
• Monitor maternal and fetal status, manage labor progress, and respond to emergent OB situations in a fast-paced environment
• Perform newborn assessments, routine nursery care, and special care nursery duties as needed
• Assist in deliveries, collaborate with physicians, midwives, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, family-centered care
• Participate in on-call rotation per unit schedule
• Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record and uphold facility standards and patient safety protocols
