• Role: Travel Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) / Perioperative Nurse / Surgical RN
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,370 - $2,500
• Location: Ottumwa, IA 52501 — travel nursing jobs in Iowa / Southeast Iowa
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 5/10/2026 – End: 8/9/2026)
• Shift: 10 Hour Days (06:30–17:00), 40 hours/week
• Employment Type: Travel, On-Site (Travel OR RN position)
• Call Requirements: Self-scheduling; 1 weekday every week and 1 weekend within 4 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Iowa
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Mandatory reporter certification (Child and Adult)
• Minimum 1 year of experience in an acute care or perioperative setting; C-section experience required
• Recent titers (MMR, Hep B, Varicella, TB) within last 12 months
• 10-panel drug screening including opiates
• Background checks (criminal and child abuse) must be fully cleared prior to start
• Robot experience (DaVinci) preferred; willingness to train on robotic and Stryker systems is a plus

Core Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care for adult and OB surgical patients in the operating room
• Assist with C-sections, general, and specialty surgical procedures as a circulating or scrub RN
• Support robot-assisted surgery (DaVinci X) and Stryker system procedures; follow sterile technique and safety protocols
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation using Meditech EHR and perioperative records
• Float occasionally to linen services or med/surg as a sitter after appropriate training
• Participate in self-scheduling and fulfill call requirements as assigned
