Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,420 - $1,520 (competitive travel sleep tech pay)
- Location: Sleep Disorders Center, Canton, GA 30115 — Georgia sleep tech job near Atlanta
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (May 18, 2026 – August 15, 2026)
- Shift: 12-hour evening/overnight shifts, Thursday–Saturday (7:00pm – 7:30am)
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Employment Type: Travel, On-Site (polysomnography / PSG sleep lab role)
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years recent clinical experience in sleep technology, polysomnography (PSG), or a related specialty
- Current and unrestricted certification/registration as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) or credentialed through BRPT
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS) certification
- Strong written and oral communication skills and ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary sleep medicine team
- Demonstrated expertise identifying sleep disorders, sleep architecture, movement arousals, and respiratory events during PSG testing
Responsibilities
- Prepare adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients and equipment for diagnostic and therapeutic sleep testing
- Perform patient hookup, electrode application, and monitor polysomnograms (PSG) throughout the study
- Identify and respond to sleep activity, abnormalities, movement arousals, and respiratory events; escalate per policy
- Document and score PSG findings accurately according to facility policy and regulatory standards
- Maintain accurate records, ensure safety and quality compliance, and support sleep lab accreditation requirements
- Collaborate with sleep physicians, respiratory therapists, and nursing staff to deliver exceptional patient care
