Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Med/Surg / Acute GI Medicine Unit
Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,460 – $1,540
Location: Atlanta, GA 30342 (Metro Atlanta healthcare jobs)
Setting: Acute GI Medicine Unit (Med/Surg) – hospital nursing
Contract Duration: 13 weeks (5/18/2026 – 8/15/2026)
Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00pm – 7:00am; schedule varies) – night shift RN
Shifts Per Week: 3 shifts per week
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Employment Type: Travel Nurse / Travel Contract (on-site)
Note: No local candidates within 50 miles

Job Requirements / Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg experience; Acute GI Medicine experience preferred
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
NIH Stroke Certification required
ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification preferred
Strong clinical assessment, medication administration, and documentation (EMR) skills

Primary Responsibilities

Provide high-quality patient care to adults in the Acute GI Medicine Unit (Med/Surg RN duties)
Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions, responses to treatments, and progress
Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately per provider orders
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
Educate patients and families on diagnosis, procedures, recovery, and discharge planning
Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive clinical environment for patients and staff
