Travel Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) needed in Atlanta, GA — 13-week surgical nursing contract (May 18 – Aug 15, 2026), 12-hour nights, competitive weekly pay $1,770–$1,870. - Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,770 – $1,870
- Location: Atlanta, GA 30342 (Atlanta healthcare jobs, Georgia nursing jobs)
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (May 18, 2026 – August 15, 2026)
- Shift: 12-hour nights (6:45pm – 7:15am), 3 shifts per week
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Unit / Specialty: Surgery – Ground Floor (Operating Room / Perioperative / Surgical Services)
- Employment Type: Travel Nurse (Travel OR RN, perioperative nurse)
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience (perioperative or surgical nurse experience)
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license (must meet state requirements for travel nursing)
- AHA BLS certification required
- Experience with robotics, neuro, ortho, plastics, gynecology, and a broad range of surgical cases
- No local candidates within 50 miles
Preferred Qualifications
- ACLS certification preferred
- Perioperative Nursing Certification (CNOR) or progress toward CNOR a plus
- Previous travel nursing or contract OR RN experience
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality perioperative patient care in the Operating Room during a variety of surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons and surgical teams as circulating or scrub nurse across robotics, neuro, ortho, plastics, gynecology and more
- Monitor patient status and promptly respond to changes during surgery
- Maintain sterile field and adhere to infection control and surgical safety protocols
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (anesthesia, PACU, surgical techs) to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Document perioperative and intraoperative care accurately and efficiently in the electronic medical record
