• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,350 - $2,470 (competitive travel nursing pay)
• Location: Cedar Rapids, Iowa (IA) 52402 — Cedar Rapids healthcare, Iowa nursing jobs, travel nursing jobs
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (May 26, 2026 – August 25, 2026)
• Shift: Afternoon shifts (11:00 AM – 7:30 PM), 40 hours/week
• Setting: Operating Rooms in a 141-bed hospital (perioperative/surgical RN role)
• Holiday Rotation: Yes
• No Call or Weekends: No call, no weekends — great work/life balance for travel nurses
• EMR: EPIC (EPIC EMR experience preferred)

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of current Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse experience
• Experience with robotic-assisted surgery (DaVinci Xi, Mako, ROSA) — robotic surgery experience preferred
• Proficient perioperative experience in orthopedic surgery, including total joint cases
• Proficient experience in general surgery and typical OR procedures
• EPIC EMR experience
• Recent travel nursing experience within the past 15 months (preferred)
• Active Iowa RN license or compact/multi-state RN license
• BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA or ARC)
• Professional reference from a charge/supervisor/nurse manager/director/CNO/COO within the past 24 months (preferred)
• Valid Driver's License
• Scrub experience or scrub tech background (nice to have)

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled perioperative nursing care as an Operating Room Registered Nurse in a fast-paced surgical environment
• Assist with robotic-assisted, orthopedic (total joints), and general surgical procedures
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, surgical techs, and perioperative staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EPIC electronic health record
• Adhere to established safety, sterile technique, and infection control protocols
• Participate in scheduled holiday rotation as required
• Support OR throughput, equipment readiness (including robotic systems), and patient-focused care
