- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,710 - $1,830
- Location: Springfield, IL 62781 (Springfield, Illinois – Central Illinois)
- Position Type: Travel Radiology Technologist / Radiologic Technologist (13-week contract)
- Setting: Acute Care Hospital, Outpatient Urgent Care (Level I trauma center, Magnet hospital)
- Assignment Dates: May 18, 2026 – August 17, 2026
- Shift: 3x12-hour day shifts (08:30 – 17:00), plus one 8-hour shift per pay period
- Hours per Week: 36
- On-call: Required as needed
- Patient Age Groups: Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics
- Scrub Color: Any solid color
- Parking: Free with permit
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of Radiology Technologist / Rad Tech experience
- Active ARRT (R) certification (Radiologic Technologist)
- Active Illinois state license (must be in hand at time of application)
- Active BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross only)
- Experience using Cerner electronic health record / Cerner charting system
- Ability to work on-call and accommodate scheduling needs
- First-time travel radiology technologists welcome
- Availability to work 2 out of 3 major holidays during assignment
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic radiology procedures, including X-rays for outpatient urgent care and inpatient settings
- Operate radiology equipment and follow radiation safety protocols
- Provide patient-centered care across all age groups in a fast-paced Level I trauma center
- Maintain accurate patient records and document procedures in Cerner
- Adhere to infection prevention and isolation precautions
- Participate in the on-call rotation and respond as required for urgent imaging
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary radiology team to ensure high-quality imaging services
- Accommodate block scheduling and coordinate with management on shift needs
