- Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (May 4, 2026 – August 3, 2026)
- Shift: Nights, 3 x 12-hour shifts (18:45 – 07:15)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Setting: Renal/Oncology Medical-Surgical unit (Med/Surg) with Telemetry exposure
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Orientation: Pre-start online modules (~2 hours)
Required Qualifications – Oncology RN / Travel Nurse
- Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience required (oncology, renal, med-surg, or telemetry experience highly valued)
- Active or pending Registered Nurse license (Nursys or other verification acceptable)
- BLS certification required
- Experience with MS/Telemetry, renal failure, and oncology patient care preferred
- Ability to float within scope to other Medical-Surgical and Telemetry units as needed
- First-time travel nurses welcomed
- COVID-19 and seasonal flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions allowed)
Core Responsibilities – Oncology Nurse (RN)
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with oncology and renal diagnoses
- Manage an assigned patient load (typical night ratio 6:1) while ensuring safe, high-quality care
- Float to other Medical-Surgical and Telemetry units as part of a shared resource pool
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including IV therapy, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Therapy, Pharmacy, and case management
- Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes in the electronic health record
- Participate in weekend coverage every other weekend and complete required online orientation prior to start
