• Shift: Night shifts (3x12-hour, 19:00 - 07:00); some mid shifts as needed (night shift respiratory therapist)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,830 - $1,970

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential (RRT required)
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience as an RRT with all age groups (neonatal, pediatric, adult)
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications
• COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Experience with Meditech EMR preferred (electronic health record experience)
• Ability to float to other units within scope of practice (flexible travel RT)
• References demonstrating specialty experience (2 years preferred)

Primary Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive respiratory care across the lifespan—neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients—in a hospital setting
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory procedures including mechanical ventilation, ventilator management, oxygen therapy, airway management, suctioning, and pulmonary function testing
• Manage invasive and non-invasive ventilation, execute weaning protocols, and respond to respiratory emergencies and codes
• Provide critical care respiratory support and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (nurses, physicians, RT team) to ensure high-quality, patient-centered pulmonary care
• Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in Meditech EMR (respiratory therapist documentation)
• Participate in block scheduling discussions, float assignments, and department initiatives as needed
