Qualifications & Job Requirements
- Certification in Dietetics/Nutrition required (RD or RDN preferred)
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Dietitian in a hospital or clinical setting (clinical dietitian or acute care experience)
- Ability to work on-site and adapt to internal float assignments across hospital units
- Strong communication, collaboration, and patient education skills
- Commitment to patient-centered care, evidence-based practice, and quality improvement
- Experience with medical nutrition therapy (MNT), nutrition assessment, care planning, and EHR documentation preferred
Key Responsibilities
- Assess nutritional needs and perform nutrition assessments for hospitalized patients (MNT)
- Develop and implement individualized care plans and therapeutic diets as a clinical dietitian
- Provide nutrition education and counseling to patients, families, and caregivers
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Monitor and document patient progress, adjust interventions as needed, and ensure accurate EHR charting
- Participate in interdisciplinary rounds, discharge planning, and hospital quality improvement initiatives
