Job Details (MRI Technologist / Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist)
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,870 – $2,010
- Location: Homewood, AL 35209 (Birmingham area) — ideal for Alabama MRI jobs and Birmingham MRI technologists
- Setting: Hospital – Diagnostic Imaging (MRI)
- Contract Length: 13 weeks (May 25, 2026 – August 24, 2026)
- Shift: Friday & Saturday, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (12-hour nights) — night shift MRI technologist
- Hours per Week: 36
- Call Requirements: None
- Equipment: GE Signa Explorer 1.5T, GE Signa Architect 3T
- EMR: Cerner
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of MRI Technologist experience in a hospital or diagnostic imaging setting
- Current ARRT (R)(MRI) certification (ARRT MR)
- Current AHA BLS certification
- Proficiency in a broad range of MRI exams (excluding Cardiac and Breast)
- Strong communication, teamwork, and patient-care skills
- Ability to multi-task and maintain high-quality imaging and patient safety standards
Responsibilities (MRI Tech Duties)
- Perform a wide range of MRI exams for ED, inpatient, and outpatient populations
- Operate advanced MRI systems (GE Signa Explorer 1.5T and GE Signa Architect 3T) with clinical competency
- Ensure patient safety, comfort, and proper screening prior to imaging
- Collaborate closely with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and allied health staff
- Maintain accurate documentation and patient records using Cerner EMR
- Adhere to hospital policies and quality assurance standards for diagnostic imaging
