Job Details (MRI Technologist / Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist)

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,870 – $2,010
• Location: Homewood, AL 35209 (Birmingham area) — ideal for Alabama MRI jobs and Birmingham MRI technologists
• Setting: Hospital – Diagnostic Imaging (MRI)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks (May 25, 2026 – August 24, 2026)
• Shift: Friday & Saturday, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (12-hour nights) — night shift MRI technologist
• Hours per Week: 36
• Call Requirements: None
• Equipment: GE Signa Explorer 1.5T, GE Signa Architect 3T
• EMR: Cerner

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of MRI Technologist experience in a hospital or diagnostic imaging setting
• Current ARRT (R)(MRI) certification (ARRT MR)
• Current AHA BLS certification
• Proficiency in a broad range of MRI exams (excluding Cardiac and Breast)
• Strong communication, teamwork, and patient-care skills
• Ability to multi-task and maintain high-quality imaging and patient safety standards

Responsibilities (MRI Tech Duties)

• Perform a wide range of MRI exams for ED, inpatient, and outpatient populations
• Operate advanced MRI systems (GE Signa Explorer 1.5T and GE Signa Architect 3T) with clinical competency
• Ensure patient safety, comfort, and proper screening prior to imaging
• Collaborate closely with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and allied health staff
• Maintain accurate documentation and patient records using Cerner EMR
• Adhere to hospital policies and quality assurance standards for diagnostic imaging
