- Location: Carlsbad, NM 88220 — New Mexico travel nursing job
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 5/25/2026 – End: 8/24/2026)
- Shift: 12-hour nights (6:30 PM – 6:30 AM) — ICU RN night shift
- Hours per Week: 36
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,910 – $2,010
- Setting: 12-bed ICU, floating required to ER and Med-Surg
- EMR: MedHost
- Scrub Color: Any
Qualifications / Job Requirements
- Active RN license (must be eligible to work in New Mexico) — ICU RN / critical care nurse
- Minimum 2 years of recent ICU/critical care experience required
- Experience working in Emergency Department and Medical-Surgical (Med-Surg) settings required
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- TNCC certification preferred
- Clinical experience with ventilator management, titratable drips, medication mixing, IV starts, and patient hygiene preferred
- Fingerprinting required for all New Mexico travelers (ensure your agency is registered with the State of New Mexico)
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive critical care to ICU patients including ventilator management and titratable drip administration
- Float to the Emergency Department to assist with triage, medication administration, IV starts, blood draws, and patient transport
- Float to Med-Surg as needed for full patient assignments or support duties
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes in the ICU and across units
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in MedHost EMR
- Participate in holiday and rotating schedules as required
