Job Details

• Location: Freehold, NJ 07728 (Monmouth County, Jersey Shore area)
• Position: Travel Hospital Pharmacist / Inpatient Pharmacist – Evening Shift
• Contract Type: Travel (13 weeks)
• Start Date: May 11, 2026
• End Date: August 10, 2026
• Shift: Evenings, 8-hour shifts (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM); 40 hours/week
• Schedule: 5 shifts/week, every other weekend and some holidays required
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,490 – $2,670
• On-call/Floating: No on-call or floating required

Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Minimum 1 year recent hospital pharmacist experience required (inpatient pharmacy)
• Active New Jersey State Pharmacist License required (valid at time of submission)
• Experience with Epic electronic health record required
• Experience with Pyxis and carousel medication systems preferred
• Experience with sterile compounding and USP standards preferred (sterile & hazardous prep)
• Must meet facility immunization requirements (COVID-19 including booster and annual flu; medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Willingness to work every other weekend and some holidays
• First-time travel pharmacists welcome
• Professional attire: scrubs or business casual (any color)

Key Responsibilities

• Review, verify, and dispense medication orders for inpatient units
• Prepare sterile and hazardous medications per USP standards and institutional policy
• Manage controlled substances and narcotic handling procedures
• Complete medication histories, medication reconciliation, and provide patient medication education
• Perform clinical interventions, monitor pharmacotherapy, and optimize medication therapy outcomes
• Provide drug information and clinical support to interdisciplinary healthcare teams
