Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (BSN, ADN, or Diploma)
• Valid, current, full, and unrestricted RN license in the State of Alaska
• Minimum 3 years of Operating Room (OR) and perioperative nursing experience
• Experience as a PACU nurse, Post Anesthesia Care Unit RN, or circulating OR nurse preferred
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Experience in Critical Access Hospital and/or rural operating rooms strongly preferred
• Influenza (flu) vaccine required
• Must reside at least 50 miles away from the facility address to qualify for this travel assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), pre-op, and OR circulating roles
• Manage recovery and post-anesthesia care for elective and emergency surgical patients
• Assist and circulate for abdominal, thoracic, urology, ENT, plastic, orthopedics, vascular, and OB/GYN cases
• Efficiently multi-task to ensure timely surgical case progression and smooth operating room flow
• Provide after-hours call coverage for nights, holidays, and weekends as needed
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver patient-centered perioperative care
