Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,570 – $1,650 (competitive travel nurse pay)
- Location: Bowling Green, KY 42104 — local healthcare job in Kentucky
- Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (May 4, 2026 – August 3, 2026)
- Shift: 12 Hour Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Unit: ICU/CCU (16 beds) — critical care nursing role
- Patient Ratios: 2:1, occasionally 3:1
- Documentation System: Meditech (experience with Meditech preferred)
- Environment: Team-focused, flexible scheduling, supportive clinical staff
Qualifications / Job Requirements
- Active RN license (compact license accepted where applicable)
- Minimum 1 year of ICU experience required — ICU RN or critical care nurse experience preferred
- Certifications: BLS and ACLS required; NIH Stroke certification required; PALS preferred
- Strong critical thinking, clinical judgment, and self-motivation
- Ability to float in rotation with core staff and support unit needs
- Comfortable documenting in Meditech and managing high-acuity patients
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in a 16-bed ICU/CCU (ICU RN duties)
- Monitor and manage patients using advanced equipment including Impella, GE monitors, Temporary Pacemakers, EKOS, IABP, Artic Sun, and hemodynamic monitoring
- Perform and assist with procedures such as central line and dialysis catheter insertions
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team (physicians, respiratory therapists, and other clinicians) to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Meditech
- Participate in unit rotation and support core staffing as needed to ensure continuity of care
- Contribute to a positive patient and family experience while upholding unit standards
