Required Qualifications
- Current Washington State license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) or RRT
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required
- Prefer at least 1 year of current acute care or hospital respiratory therapy experience (new graduates may be considered)
- Strong OB experience preferred; experience with neonatal/pediatric respiratory care a plus
- Clinical skills: mechanical ventilation management, ventilator weaning, arterial blood gas (ABG) analysis, airway management, and pulmonary care
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform required physical tasks
- Excellent auditory and visual assessment skills and accurate charting
- Team player with a positive attitude and ability to work independently after orientation
- Any requested time off (RTO) must be pre-approved and added to the end of the contract
Responsibilities
- Provide, coordinate, and direct individualized comprehensive respiratory care based on assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Deliver hospital-based respiratory care across units including OB, acute care, and critical care as needed
- Manage ventilators, perform airway maintenance, suctioning, and advanced respiratory procedures within scope of practice
- Interpret ABGs and titrate oxygen and ventilator settings to meet patient goals
- Work collaboratively with the Cardiopulmonary Director, Lead RRT, and interdisciplinary care teams
- Function independently with minimal supervision after orientation and follow department policies and protocols
- Maintain required certifications and adhere to department criteria and hospital standards
