Job Details – Travel OT / Occupational Therapy Job

• Location: Taos, NM 87571 (Taos, New Mexico healthcare job)
• Setting: Inpatient Rehabilitation – Physical Therapy Unit (hospital-based inpatient rehab)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (5/26/2026 – 8/25/2026)
• Shift: Day shift, 5 x 8-hour shifts (08:00 – 16:30)
• Hours per Week: 40
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,920 – $2,060 (estimated travel OT pay)
• Patient Population: Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics
• Typical Caseload: ~10 visits per day

Job Requirements – Occupational Therapist (OT)

• Minimum 1 year of recent Occupational Therapy experience in clinical settings (2 years preferred; CHT preferred)
• Active Occupational Therapist license (must be in hand before start date)
• BLS certification required
• Manual therapy and lymphedema management skills preferred
• Experience with charting systems / EMR required
• Two professional references required at time of submission
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
• Must comply with facility’s zero-tolerance policy for marijuana
• 75-mile radius rule applies

Key Responsibilities – Rehabilitation Occupational Therapist (Inpatient)

• Provide comprehensive occupational therapy services in an inpatient rehabilitation (rehab OT) setting, including evaluation, treatment planning, and implementation
• Manage a caseload of approximately 10 visits per day focused on adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for orthopedic, neurological, and post-surgical diagnoses
• Deliver therapeutic interventions including manual therapy, lymphedema management, and therapeutic exercise
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs, adaptive strategies, and safety to support discharge planning
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including PT, respiratory therapy, radiology, social services, and pharmacy to optimize patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the charting/EMR system in line with facility and regulatory standards
• Participate in orientation (16 hours) and ongoing professional development to support best practices in inpatient rehabilitation
