• Shift: 12-hour rotating shifts (straight nights or rotating day/night); every other weekend & holiday
• Hours: 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Care Setting: Acute hospital — Level II Trauma Center (ICU, NICU, PICU exposure)
• Charting: EPIC

Required Qualifications — Respiratory Therapist (RRT/CRT)

• NBRC credential: RRT or CRT (required)
• Active North Dakota Respiratory Therapist license (or ability to obtain prior to start)
• Minimum 1 year of ICU respiratory therapist experience
• Active AHA BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
• Must not have a permanent address within 80 miles of Bismarck, ND (travel assignment requirement)
• Ability to badge in/out at facility

Preferred Certifications & Experience

• PALS and NRP certifications (preferred)
• Experience in NICU, PICU, and other acute care settings
• Previous use of EPIC charting system

Key Responsibilities — Hospital Respiratory Therapist

• Provide respiratory care for patients across acute hospital units, including ICU, NICU, and PICU
• Perform respiratory assessments, administer therapies (ventilator management, HFNC, aerosolized treatments), and monitor patient progress
• Assist with advanced airway management and emergency respiratory interventions as needed
• Document all patient care and interventions in EPIC accurately and timely
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes
• Adhere to facility protocols, safety standards, and infection control practices
• Cover rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
