Travel Respiratory Therapist Job Details

Job Requirements (Respiratory Therapist)
- Current registration by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC-RRT) required
- Current Oregon Respiratory Care License required (state licensure)
- Healthcare Provider BLS from American Heart Association required
- ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications required for PCH Respiratory Therapy assignments
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in respiratory care (2 years preferred); hospital/acute care experience strongly preferred
Core Responsibilities
- Provide evidence-based respiratory therapy and cardiopulmonary care to critical and non-critical patients across all age groups
- Manage ventilators, perform ventilator checks, and deliver invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilation
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures including arterial blood gases (ABGs), oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, airway management, and suctioning
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, nurses, and allied health staff) to optimize patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate documentation in electronic medical records and adhere to hospital respiratory therapy protocols and policies
- Participate in rotating shifts, including occasional weekends; provide flexible coverage as required for hospital respiratory services
