Job Details / Travel RN Assignment

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,950 - $2,060
• Location: New Braunfels, TX 78130 — Texas travel nursing, New Braunfels healthcare jobs, Texas nursing jobs
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (March 23, 2026 – June 21, 2026)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Patient Ratio: 1:2 for L&D; 1:6 (3 moms/3 babies) for postpartum
• Employment Type: Travel RN, Full Time — Travel nursing job, Registered Nurse (RN) position

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of Labor & Delivery or related OB/maternity nursing experience (L&D RN, OB RN, maternity nurse)
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Active RN license in Texas or compact state (Texas RN license preferred)
• BLS certification (AHA only)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
• ACLS certification required (AHA only)
• Current certification in one of the following: AWHONN Intermediate FHM or NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM)
• Current STABLE certification (post-resuscitation/pre-transport stabilization of sick infants)
• Completion of annual competency verification requirements; travel nurse orientation and competency validation participation expected

Core Responsibilities — Labor & Delivery RN / Maternity Nurse

• Provide comprehensive nursing care using the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
• Perform maternal-fetal monitoring and electronic fetal monitoring (EFM) per unit protocols
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families; provide patient- and family-centered care
• Administer medications and treatments per protocol; monitor for side effects and effectiveness
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, interventions, and care provided in the electronic health record
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, families, and caregivers on labor, delivery, postpartum care, and newborn care
• Delegate tasks and assignments appropriately to manage clinical situations and maintain safe patient ratios
• Participate in orientation, ongoing competency validation, and interdisciplinary team collaboration (OB, pediatrics, anesthesia)
