Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910 - $2,010
• Location: Gardner, MA 01440 — Massachusetts nursing jobs / New England travel nursing
• Setting: Med/Surg Adult Unit (Med/Surg RN role)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (April 23, 2026 – July 23, 2026)
• Shift: 36 hours/week, 12-hour nights (11:00 pm – 7:30 am); every other weekend and holiday; Mon–Sun rotation
• Employment Type: Travel (Travel RN / Travel Nursing)
• On-Site Position

Required Qualifications (Med/Surg RN)

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license
• ACLS certification upon hire OR active BLS and obtain AHA ACLS within 60 days of hire
• MOAB class required within 60 days of hire
• At least 1 year of recent Med/Surg experience preferred (Med/Surg RN / clinical experience)
• Previous telemetry experience preferred (telemetry monitoring skills a plus)
• Proficiency in medication administration, IV therapy, and cardiac rhythm interpretation

Key Responsibilities

• Provide safe, evidence-based patient care on the Med/Surg adult unit following hospital policies and nursing protocols
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for medical and surgical patients
• Safely administer medications and IV therapy per orders and facility protocols
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms; initiate treatments as ordered and respond to cardiac events
• Perform telemetry monitoring and timely documentation of abnormal findings
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, procedures, discharge plans, and self-care needs
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams during daily rounds to coordinate care and discharge planning
• Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and promptly in the electronic medical record
• Prioritize patient care needs, delegate appropriately, and call for assistance during emergencies
• Identify and report patient safety concerns and participate in error reduction initiatives
• Precept and support colleagues to promote continuous professional development
• Recognize and report abnormal lab and diagnostic results; escalate per unit protocols
