Job Requirements

• Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist, preferably with Interventional Radiology (IR) experience
• Valid NYS Radiologic Technologist License (or ability to obtain prior to start) — NYS license required for Rochester, NY positions
• ARRT Certification (primary credential for Radiologic Technologist jobs)
• BLS Certification (American Heart Association ONLY)
• VIR Certification (preferred) — Vascular Interventional Radiology credential desirable
• Competency in Interventional Radiology procedures and IR imaging protocols
• Familiarity with PACS, RIS, and Hospital Information System (HIS) for efficient workflow

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate competence in selecting exposure factors, patient positioning, and consistently producing radiologic images of diagnostic and interventional quality
• Assist the Radiologist during Interventional Radiology procedures and provide hands-on clinical support
• Work cooperatively with department members to resolve operational or clinical problems expediently
• Display flexibility, team spirit, compassion, respect, politeness, and accountability when interacting with patients and staff
• Instruct and prepare patients for examinations, including pre- and post-procedure patient care for IR cases
• Operate all radiology and interventional equipment proficiently; report malfunctions and coordinate repairs as needed
• Complete assigned procedures in a timely manner and assist with room turnover and instrumentation setup
• Maintain medication security, patient confidentiality, and documentation in accordance with hospital protocols
• Demonstrate competency in providing healthcare services and professional interpersonal relationships across all patient age groups
• Utilize Hospital Information System (HIS), Radiology Information System (RIS), and PACS effectively to manage imaging studies and results
• Participate in hospital performance improvement and safety activities related to radiology and interventional services
• Answer technical telephone inquiries from physicians or hospital personnel with professionalism and clinical accuracy
