Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license (Compact license accepted; must be in hand at submission)
• At least 1 year of recent Operating Room RN / perioperative nursing experience
• Travel nursing experience required (previous Travel RN assignments preferred)
• Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
• Experience with Epic electronic health record (Epic EHR / Epic charting system)
• Ability to take on-call shifts as scheduled and float to sister facilities if needed
• Two professional references covering at least one year within the last three years
• Must be able to commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality perioperative nursing care to patients of all ages (adolescents, adults, pediatrics, geriatrics)
• Assist as a surgical nurse with a variety of procedures, including Orthopedics, General Surgery, GYN, Podiatry, C-section, and Endoscopy
• Maintain a sterile environment using strict sterile technique and adhere to infection control protocols
• Monitor patients before, during, and after surgery to ensure optimal outcomes and patient safety
• Document care accurately and efficiently using the Epic charting system (EHR)
• Participate in interdisciplinary collaboration with Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Radiology, Pharmacy, and Interpretation Services
• Respond to emergencies and provide code response as needed
• Handle specimen collection, labeling, and management following hospital policies
• Comply with hospital policies, universal protocol, and safety standards
