PACU Travel Nurse Job Details
- Location: Walla Walla, WA 99362 (Walla Walla healthcare jobs / Washington nursing jobs)
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (May 18, 2026 – August 17, 2026)
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,280 – $2,400
- Shift: 4 x 10-hour evening shifts (13:00 – 23:30)
- Hours per Week: 40
- Setting: Short Term Acute Care / Level III Trauma Center
- Unit: Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) / Perioperative Nursing
- Patient Ratios: 1:1 and 1:3-4
- Charting System: Epic

PACU RN Requirements / Qualifications
- Active Washington RN license or Compact RN license (required at time of submission)
- Minimum 2 years recent PACU RN or perioperative nursing experience
- Previous charge nurse experience required
- Experience with Epic electronic health record (EHR)
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS (all required)
- Ability to function in pre-op, post-op, and PACU settings; willingness to float as needed
- 2 professional references covering at least 1 year within the last 3 years
PACU RN Responsibilities (Post-Anesthesia Care / Perioperative)
- Provide high-quality PACU nursing care for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients recovering from anesthesia and surgical procedures
- Monitor, assess, and rapidly respond to changing patient conditions in the post-anesthesia period
- Administer medications, manage IVs, and perform airway and pain assessments
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including anesthesia, surgery, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and physical therapy
- Support advanced surgical procedures and technologies (e.g., Da Vinci, Mako robotics) as applicable
- Document patient care accurately and timely in Epic
- Provide patient and family education for post-operative care and safe discharge
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and infection control
