Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,610 - $1,720 (competitive travel pay)
• Location: Utica, NY 13502 — Central New York (Utica, New York travel assignment)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (June 15, 2026 – September 12, 2026)
• Shift: 4x10 hour day shifts (12:30pm – 11:00pm); on-call required
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Weekend Requirement: One weekend per month
• Setting: Operating Room (OR) – General, Robotic (DaVinci), Trauma, Neuro

Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years recent Surgical Technologist experience with scrub, trauma, and neuro cases
• Certified Surgical Technologist (NBSTSA or NCCT) or grandfathered equivalent based on experience
• BLS certification (AHA preferred)
• Experience with DaVinci robotic surgical systems (robotic OR experience)
• Familiarity with Epic EMR system preferred (Epic experience desirable)
• Comfortable caring for pediatric through adult patient populations
• Must meet 75-mile radius rule for travel assignments; local candidates accepted at local rate

Key Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons as a scrub tech in a busy hospital operating room (OR)
• Provide intraoperative support for general, trauma, neuro, and robotic surgeries
• Prepare and maintain sterile fields, surgical instruments, and equipment
• Set up and troubleshoot robotic (DaVinci) instruments and OR equipment when required
• Collaborate with surgeons, circulating nurses, and OR staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Participate in on-call rotation and work the scheduled weekend requirement
• Document procedures and patient information accurately in Epic EMR
