Job Details — CVOR RN Travel Nurse

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,450 - $2,580 (competitive travel nurse pay)
• Location: Utica, NY 13502 — Utica, New York (Mohawk Valley)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (May 18, 2026 – August 15, 2026)
• Shift: 10-hour day shifts (variable days: 6:30am–4:30pm or 7:00am–5:00pm), 4 shifts per week
• Hours: 40 hours per week
• On-Call: Minimum of 7 days per four-week schedule, including weeknights and at least one weekend
• Patient Age Group: Adult (cardiovascular surgery patients)
• Unit Details: 2 beds, 1:1 nurse-to-patient ratio

Job Requirements — CVOR RN / Cardiac OR Nurse

• At least 1 year of recent CVOR RN or Cardiac OR nursing experience (travel nurse experience a plus)
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate's degree or higher)
• Current New York State RN license (RN license in New York required)
• ACLS and BLS certifications (current)
• Comfortable floating to other perioperative or surgical units if census is low

Responsibilities — Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)

• Provide direct perioperative patient care in the Cardiovascular Operating Room for adult cardiac patients
• Assist with cardiovascular surgical procedures, including cases related to CAD, AS, and MR
• Maintain a 1:1 nurse-to-patient ratio to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Document patient care and perioperative data using EPIC; manage medications with Omnicell
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond to urgent surgical needs as scheduled
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—surgeons, anesthesiology, perfusion, and ICU—for seamless patient transitions
