• Shift: Night shifts (19:00 – 07:00) – night shift RN
• Hours: 3 x 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week)

Job Requirements (Qualifications)

• Active RN license (Virginia or compact state) – registered nurse required
• Minimum 1 year of recent PCU, telemetry, or similar acute care experience
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Ability to float to Telemetry and Medical-Surgical units as needed
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to Progressive Care Unit (PCU) patients with nurse-to-patient ratios typically 1:3–5
• Float to Telemetry and Medical-Surgical units as needed (ratios up to 1:6)
• Assess and monitor patient conditions, administer medications, and manage telemetry monitoring
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, respiratory therapists, and case management
• Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner in the electronic medical record
• Provide compassionate patient and family education and support
