Job Details

• Position: Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Nurse / Travel RN
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (May 18, 2026 – August 16, 2026)
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,130 – $2,250
• Setting: 600+ bed academic hospital (medical-surgical unit)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) — Night shift Med/Surg RN role
• Hours per Week: 36
• Location: Albany, NY 12208 — New York nursing job in the Capital Region
• Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs required
• EMR: Epic experience required (clinical documentation in Epic)

Job Requirements

• Active RN license (ability to meet state licensure requirements for assignment)
• At least 1 year of recent Med/Surg experience in a 600+ bed academic hospital with passing competency testing score
  OR
  2 years of recent Med/Surg experience (no testing required)
• Epic EMR experience required — experience with clinical documentation and workflows in Epic
• Ability to complete and pass a competency test within 24 hours of submission (if under 2 years' experience)
• Travel nursing experience preferred (travel RN experience preferred)
• Must provide an up-to-date email for competency testing and communication
• Navy blue scrubs required for this assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult medical-surgical patients (Med/Surg RN responsibilities)
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams — physicians, therapists, and support staff — to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Accurate and timely documentation of care using Epic EMR (electronic medical record)
• Float to other units as needed within scope of practice (flexible Med/Surg RN duties)
• Participate in ongoing competency and skills assessments specific to the academic hospital setting
• Maintain a safe, therapeutic, and patient-centered environment for patients and staff
