Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,830 - $1,970
- Location: Reno, NV 89521 (a leading medical center in Reno, NV)
- Facility: a leading medical center in Reno, NV
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (June 1, 2026 – August 31, 2026)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Shift Duration: 12-hour shifts (schedule varies; includes weekends, holidays, and some call shifts)
- Employment Type: Travel / Contract (Travel Physical Therapist / Travel PT)
Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Licensed Physical Therapist; acute care experience preferred (acute care physical therapist, inpatient rehab experience valued)
- Active NV Physical Therapist license required
- AHA BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- Total joint and Epic EMR experience preferred (experience with orthopedic rehab, total joint protocols a plus)
- Ability to float between facilities as needed and provide clinical supervision
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive inpatient physical therapy services across the lifespan (pediatric, adult, geriatric) in an acute care setting
- Conduct thorough evaluations, develop individualized plans of care, and deliver rehabilitation services through discharge
- Perform gait and transfer assessments, orthotic/prosthetic training, wound care, and mobility progression
- Provide direct clinical supervision of physical therapy assistants and rehab technicians; collaborate with the interdisciplinary team
- Participate in program development, outcome measurements, and quality-improvement initiatives
- Pick up one additional shift during the schedule period; work at least one major and one minor holiday per year (per diem staff expectations)
