We are seeking an experienced Radiologic Technologist / Cardiac Cath Lab Tech to support our Cardiac Catheterization Lab, providing advanced diagnostic and interventional imaging services. This travel radiology job is based at Nevada's only Level II Trauma Center and offers exposure to state-of-the-art interventional cardiology equipment within a collaborative clinical team. Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,240 – $2,400
- Location: Reno, NV 89502 (Travel healthcare assignment)
- Department: Cardiac Cath Lab / Interventional Imaging
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (June 1, 2026 – August 31, 2026)
- Shift: 4 x 10-hour rotating shifts, Monday–Friday
- Weekly Hours: 40 guaranteed
- Call Requirements: 1 weeknight and 1 weekend call shift every 5 weeks
Required Qualifications & Certifications
- Minimum 2 years of Cardiac Cath Lab technologist experience (scrubbing and panning the X-ray table)
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) R.T. (R) certification or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS)
- State of Nevada Radiation Control Program License
- AHA BLS and ACLS certifications
- Ability to float to other departments as needed, up to competency
Key Responsibilities
- Produce optimal diagnostic and interventional images for Neonatal, Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult, and Geriatric patients
- Operate interventional imaging equipment and related radiology machinery in the Cardiac Cath Lab
- Verify and execute physician orders for diagnostic and therapeutic exams
- Assist as first assist to Interventional Cardiologists, Vascular Surgeons, or Interventional Radiologists during procedures
- Set up sterile trays, maintain room sterility, and circulate during procedures
- Manage drains and lines, perform suturing support, imaging documentation, and supply stocking
- Chart patient information accurately and participate in quality improvement and radiology safety studies
- Coordinate patient flow and consult with radiologists regarding contrast media and procedural variances
- Evaluate image quality and make immediate corrections to ensure diagnostic accuracy
- May be required to work overtime, take call, or assist other imaging modalities within the department
