Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — eligible to practice in Vermont
• Minimum 1 year of recent clinical experience in Cardiac Stepdown, Telemetry, Med/Surg, or related acute care units
• Strong telemetry skills, cardiac monitoring experience, and arrhythmia recognition
• Current ACLS and BLS; PALS or ENPC required (or proof of booked course prior to clinical orientation)
• Completion of de-escalation training prior to contract start (or proof of booked course)
• Compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations and facility policies for patient care

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct, age-specific patient care using the Nursing Process in a Cardiac Stepdown / Telemetry unit
• Monitor cardiac telemetry, interpret monitor data, and respond to changes in patient condition
• Provide evidence-based clinical interventions, medication administration, and critical thinking for cardiac patients
• Adhere to Department of Nursing standards and specialty-specific standards of patient care
• Assume leadership responsibilities as assigned, including delegation and coordination of care with nursing staff
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (cardiology, respiratory therapy, physicians) to support positive patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate documentation, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and follow facility policies
