Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) – 13-week travel nurse contract in Lebanon, NH (03756) at a high-volume Birthing Pavilion averaging 1,300 deliveries annually. Great opportunity for travel nursing, L&D nursing, and OB nurses seeking short-term contracts in New Hampshire's Upper Valley.
Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,580 – $2,720
- Location: Lebanon, New Hampshire (03756) — Upper Valley region
- Setting: Birthing Pavilion, Labor & Delivery unit (Labor & Delivery, Maternity)
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (June 8, 2026 – September 5, 2026)
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Shift Options: 12-hour shifts (Days: 07:00–19:00, Nights: 19:00–07:00, or Rotating)
- Employment Type: Travel Contract / Travel Nurse position
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery (L&D) experience — OB nurse or maternity nurse experience preferred
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts (days, nights, or rotation)
- Strong clinical skills in Labor & Delivery, including high-risk medication management
- Commitment to following AWHONN staffing guidelines and maintaining appropriate nurse:patient ratios
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, evidence-based care to mothers and newborns during labor, delivery, and postpartum — maternity and postpartum nursing
- Monitor and manage patients receiving Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate, insulin drips, and other high-risk medications
- Maintain nurse:patient ratios as per AWHONN guidelines (e.g., 1:1 for active labor, 1:2 for cervical ripening)
- Collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, neonatologists, and multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced birthing environment
- Utilize clinical judgment to respond to obstetric emergencies and ensure maternal and neonatal safety (high-risk obstetrics)
- Document patient care accurately and efficiently in the electronic health record
