Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,800 - $1,890 (competitive travel healthcare pay)
- Location: Reno, NV 89502 — Reno neurodiagnostic technician jobs, Nevada travel healthcare
- Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (June 1, 2026 – August 31, 2026)
- Shift: 4x10s, Rotating shifts (may include weekends, holidays, and some call shifts)
- Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 40
- Employment Type: Travel, On-site
Travelers may be required to float to other units up to their competency level and pick up one additional shift during the schedule period.
Job Requirements (Neurodiagnostic Technician)
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Neurodiagnostic Technician performing EEG, NCS, EMG, or related neurodiagnostic procedures in a hospital or clinical setting required; 3 years preferred
- Certification as R.EEG.T, R.NCS.T, or CNCT preferred
- American Heart Association CPR certification for healthcare providers required within 60 days of employment
- Ability to float to other units as needed and adapt to fast-paced trauma center workflows
- Strong communication, patient-centered care, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
Responsibilities
- Perform neurodiagnostic procedures including EEG, NCS, EMG, and evoked potentials according to established protocols
- Prepare patients for procedures, explain tests, and ensure patient comfort and safety
- Operate and maintain neurodiagnostic equipment, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure accurate data collection
- Collaborate with neurologists, neurosurgeons, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate documentation of procedures and participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Educate patients and families on neurodiagnostic procedures and answer questions as needed
- Participate in staff and student education, share best practices, and contribute to continuous professional development
