MRI Technologist Job Details

MRI Technologist Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Certification: ARRT (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) OR ARMRIT
  • American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Provider certification
  • Required GE experience: GE450w scanner REQUIRED; general GE MRI experience REQUIRED
  • EPIC charting experience highly recommended
  • Proficiency in English (read, write, speak)

MRI Technologist Responsibilities

  • Perform MRI exams using GE450w scanner and other GE MRI equipment following hospital protocols
  • Conduct coil inspections, manage MRI inventory, and ensure equipment readiness
  • Maintain high-quality imaging standards and ensure patient safety and comfort
  • Collaborate with radiologists, radiology techs, and hospital staff in an acute care environment
  • Accurately document procedures and patient information in EPIC
  • Participate in on-call rotation as needed for hospital MRI services
