• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020 - $2,130
• Location: Peoria, IL (61605) — travel nursing job in Illinois
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (May 18, 2026 – August 17, 2026)
• Setting: Acute Care, High-Acuity ICU (8-bed)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), 3 shifts per week, rotating weekends and holidays
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Employment Type: Travel Nurse / ICU RN

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois (or documentation that Illinois license application has been initiated)
• BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of recent ICU experience; critical care / ICU RN experience required for travel nursing jobs
• Experience with PEG tube care/feedings, CVC/PICC/Midline management, and tracheostomy patient care
• Proficiency managing sedated, ventilated patients and titrating vasopressors, sedation, and pain control drips
• Ability to read telemetry strips; familiarity with Phillips telemetry monitors is a plus
• Negative drug screen required
• CCRN or other critical care certification preferred (not required)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide primary critical care nursing for ICU patients, including respiratory failure, post-surgical, wound care, IV antibiotics, post-CVA, post-trauma, and cardiac cases
• Manage and titrate ICU-level drips (Precedex, Propofol, Fentanyl, Versed, Lasix, Insulin, Amiodarone, Nitro, Levophed, Dopamine, Cardizem)
• Perform PEG tube care/feedings, manage CVC/PICC/Midline lines, and provide tracheostomy care
• Provide ventilator management and care for sedated/ventilated patients; collaborate closely with respiratory therapists
• Read and interpret telemetry and monitor critical care trends; utilize Phillips telemetry and bedside monitors
• Collaborate with house supervisors, respiratory therapists, and tele-health physicians as needed
• Float to Medical-Surgical units when required to support patient care
• Complete accurate charting and documentation using the EPIC electronic health record
• Participate in orientation and ongoing training per facility policy
