Registered Nurse (Telemetry) – Travel Nurse in Martinsburg, WV | 13-week contract | Weekly pay $2,040–$2,150. Seeking an experienced Telemetry RN with BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS for an acute care cardiac telemetry unit using EPIC.

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,040 – $2,150
• Location: Martinsburg, WV 25401 — Martinsburg, WV 25401 is a historic town with easy access to outdoor recreation and a welcoming community.
• Setting: Acute Care, Cardiac Telemetry Unit (2 South, 20 beds, all private rooms)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (telemetry travel nurse opportunity)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), every other weekend, rotating holidays
• Charting System: EPIC (preferred familiarity)
• Number of Positions: 2 telemetry travel nurse openings

Telemetry RN Requirements

• Active RN license (compact or state-specific depending on assignment)
• BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 5 years of RN experience in acute care; telemetry or cardiac nursing experience preferred
• At least 1 year of prior travel nursing experience
• Driver’s license required (must live outside 50 miles from facility)
• Comfortable with basic dysrhythmia interpretation, telemetry monitoring, and cardiac assessment
• Preferred: prior experience with EPIC electronic charting

Key Responsibilities (Telemetry Nursing)

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care to telemetry patients (typical nurse:patient ratio 1:5)
• Continuously monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms; verify tele strip interpretations and escalate concerns
• Administer and titrate medications per orders (including heparin and diltiazem) and manage IV therapy
• Perform IV placements and draw labs from central lines as needed
• Collaborate with unit-based pharmacists, respiratory therapists, hospitalists, and interdisciplinary care teams
• Participate in shared rounding and coordinated patient care with PCTs and nursing staff
• Document all care accurately and timely using EPIC (telemetry nursing documentation)
• Float to comparable or lower acuity units when required and assist with patient transfers
• Complete orientation, shadowing, and demonstrate independent practice within the first three shifts
• May be asked to precept or act as charge nurse based on experience and comfort level
