Job Details

• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (June 1, 2026 – August 31, 2026)
• Role: Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN) / Travel Nurse — Acute Care RN, Med/Surg unit
• Setting: Acute Care, 34-bed Med/Surg unit (Med/Surg travel nurse, telemetry capable)
• Location: Franklin, Indiana (46131) — Indiana travel nursing / Franklin, IN nursing jobs
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,840 – $1,940
• Shifts: 3 x 12-hour day shifts per week (6:00am – 6:30pm)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Self-scheduling: Available, variable based on census and staffing
• Weekend/Holiday: Weekend and holiday rotation required

Job Requirements

• Active RN license (Indiana license or compact/Multi-State RN license preferred)
• BLS (AHA) and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year recent Med/Surg, PCU, Telemetry, or CCU experience (Med/Surg RN / telemetry experience strongly preferred)
• Clinical experience with common diagnoses: pneumonia (PNA), COPD, CHF, ortho cases, appendectomy, cholecystectomy, diverticulitis, bowel resection, and pancreatitis
• Comfortable managing chronic BiPAP and CPAP equipment
• Ability to float within Med/Surg scope as needed

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to a diverse patient population in a 34-bed Med/Surg unit as an acute care RN and travel nurse
• Manage patient ratios of 1:5 on days and collaborate with PCTs (max PCT ratio 1:12)
• Administer medications and monitor patients, including set-rate drips (Heparin per protocol)
• Document care using the Cerner charting system (Cerner EMR experience preferred)
• Participate in weekend and holiday rotations as scheduled
• Complete supportive orientation: 1 shift clinical education + 2 shifts with a preceptor
• Adhere to facility dress code (Navy Blue scrubs)
