• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00pm – 7:30am), every 3rd weekend rotation; additional weekends as needed
• Guaranteed Hours: 24 hours per week
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020 – $2,130 (estimated)
• Charting System: EPIC (experience with EPIC preferred)
• Scrub Color: Any color

Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Active RN license (Wisconsin or compact state) — must meet facility radius rule (reside at least 50 miles from Spooner, WI)
• Minimum 1 year recent Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience — ER RN / trauma nurse experience preferred
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC
• Hands-on experience with trauma, STEMI, and stroke stabilization
• Familiarity with common ER drips (Levophed, epinephrine, nitro, heparin, diltiazem, amiodarone, etc.) and IV/infusion management
• Experience with ventilator management, BiPAP, and Airvo respiratory therapies
• Able to interpret cardiac strips independently (Mindray monitors)
• Willingness to float to assist inpatient units for non-assignment support when needed

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate emergency care in a 4-bed Emergency Department with 2 trauma rooms and overflow capacity
• Perform triage, rapid assessment, stabilization, and ongoing management of urgent and emergent patients
• Administer medications, manage IV drips, and perform advanced nursing procedures per ED protocols
• Collaborate with physicians, CRNAs, and multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes in a critical access hospital
• Initiate and manage respiratory therapies including BiPAP and Airvo
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in EPIC and follow hospital emergency protocols
• Participate in department orientation, ongoing ED training, and quality improvement initiatives
