• Job Type: Travel / Contract – MRI Technologist (Hospital Radiology)
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,260 - $2,430
• Location: Danville, IL (Zip: 61832) — Illinois MRI jobs
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (May 18, 2026 – August 17, 2026)
• Shift: 6:30 AM – 4:00 PM, Tue–Fri (9-hour shifts); rotating weekend call (Sat/Sun 7:00 AM–11:00 AM call only)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Setting: Acute care hospital, Radiology – MRI department
• Equipment: GE 1.5T Voyager MRI
• Dress Code: Any color scrubs (not provided)

Job Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of MRI Technologist experience; acute care hospital experience preferred
• Active Illinois radiology license or documentation that state application has been initiated
• ARRT certification and ARRT (MR) credential required
• BLS (AHA) certification
• Proficiency in venipuncture and IV starts
• Ability to pass a negative drug screen and meet Drug-Free Campus requirements
• Familiarity with EPIC charting and PACS image management systems is a plus

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI scans primarily for neuro and orthopedic cases (no cardiac or breast imaging)
• Operate and optimize protocols on GE 1.5T Voyager MRI equipment
• Perform patient screening, positioning, IV starts, and venipuncture as needed
• Document procedures and patient information in EPIC and manage images in PACS
• Adhere to MRI safety protocols, MR Safety Zone procedures, and department policies
• Participate in rotating weekend call coverage and on-site orientation
• Collaborate closely with Radiology techs, nurses, and the Lead MRI Technologist
