Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) travel assignment in Powell, TN — 13-week surgical travel nurse opportunity. Active RN license, BLS/ACLS, and recent OR/perioperative experience required. Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,620 – $1,710
• Location: Powell, TN 37849 (near Knoxville, Tennessee)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (May 18, 2026 – August 17, 2026)
• Shift: 8 Hour Days (6:30 AM – 3:00 PM)
• Hours per Week: 40
• Call Requirement: Night call (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, Mon–Fri); Weekend call (16-hour shifts)
• Patient Ratio: 1:1
• Beds: 6
• Scrubs Provided
• EMR: Cerner (experience with Cerner EMR preferred)
• Role Type: Travel Nurse, Operating Room RN, Perioperative RN, Surgical RN

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure (per state requirements)
• BLS and ACLS certifications (current)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Operating Room / perioperative nursing experience
• Ability to scrub and circulate for cases
• Experience with robotics preferred (robotic surgery experience a plus)
• Comfortable with Ortho, ENT, Plastics, General, Robotics, and Urology cases
• Must meet travel nurse requirement: live more than 50 miles from the facility

Responsibilities

• Provide direct perioperative patient care in the Operating Room, ensuring patient safety, sterile technique, and comfort
• Scrub and circulate for a wide variety of surgical procedures including orthopedics, ENT, plastics, general surgery, robotics, and urology
• Assist with robotic cases when required and follow robotics protocols
• Participate in on-call rotation as required (night and weekend call)
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, surgical techs, and other team members to deliver high-quality surgical care
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in Cerner EMR and adhere to hospital policies and perioperative protocols
