• Location: Kerrville, TX 78028 (Texas Hill Country / near San Antonio)
• Role: Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) — Travel Nurse / Emergency Department Nurse
• Assignment Type: Travel nursing assignment (no first-time travelers)
• Setting: Emergency Department — 20 beds, Level 4 trauma designation
• Start Date: May 18, 2026
• End Date: August 17, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights (18:30 - 06:30), 3 shifts per week
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,820 – $1,910
• Patient Ratio: 1:4
• Weekend Coverage: Required
• Facility Housing: Available
• Local Candidates: Candidates within 50 miles are not eligible for this travel assignment

Required Qualifications — ER RN / Emergency Department Nurse

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the U.S.; Nursys verification required
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room (ER) nursing experience
• Previous travel nursing experience required (no first-time travelers)
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC (AHA certifications preferred)
• Preferred certifications: CPI, NRP, SANE
• Experience with Meditech charting system preferred
• COVID-19 and influenza vaccinations required (medical/religious exemptions allowed)
• Must be able to work 3 out of 5 winter holidays if assignment overlaps

Key Responsibilities — Emergency Department RN

• Provide high-quality, compassionate emergency care for patients across the lifespan in a busy ER setting
• Manage a 1:4 patient ratio; triage, assess, and prioritize care for adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• Respond to trauma and acute medical emergencies including STEMI, stroke, and multi-system injuries in a Level 4 trauma environment
• Perform and monitor special procedures: arterial line setup, chest tube setup, rapid infuser use, and other emergent interventions
• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams (IV/vascular access, respiratory therapy, radiology, pharmacy, social services)
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation using Meditech and adhere to charting best practices
• Participate in pod nursing and demonstrate strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills
• Follow all safety, infection control, and patient privacy (HIPAA) protocols
