Job Details – Travel Nurse / ICU RN
- Location: Indianapolis, IN 46237 (Indianapolis nursing jobs / Indiana travel nurse)
- Setting: Medical Progressive Care Unit (ICU specialty / Progressive Care)
- Contract Type: Travel Nurse (Travel RN)
- Start Date: May 18, 2026
- End Date: August 17, 2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour days (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (Saturday/Sunday)
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,910 – $2,010
Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Active RN license (valid for assignment in Indiana)
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of ICU or Progressive Care experience (Critical Care RN experience preferred)
- Strong comprehensive assessment skills and experience with peripheral lab draws
- Experience with titration of drips such as norepinephrine, nicardipine, precedex, insulin, and diltiazem
- Ability to float to other inpatient areas as needed
- Preferred: Experience with Epic EMR (electronic medical records)
- Team player with a positive attitude, flexibility, and empathy
Responsibilities – ICU / Progressive Care RN
- Deliver high-quality critical care nursing to patients in a 27-bed Medical Progressive Care Unit
- Manage patient ratios of 1:3 or 1:4, ensuring safe and effective care as a Critical Care RN
- Monitor and assess patients with sepsis, respiratory distress, substance use disorders, endocrine and psychiatric concerns, and renal issues
- Administer and titrate vasoactive drips and sedatives using Alaris pumps and advanced monitoring
- Utilize EKG monitoring and other bedside monitoring equipment
- Document care and clinical interventions using Epic EMR
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, case management) to provide comprehensive patient care
- Maintain professional standards and adhere to facility dress code (navy scrubs)
