Job Details — PACU RN / Travel Nurse

• Location: Vero Beach, FL 32960 (Treasure Coast, Florida)
• Role: PACU Registered Nurse / Post-Anesthesia Care Unit RN (Travel Nurse)
• Contract Length: 26 weeks
• Start Date: June 2, 2026
• End Date: December 1, 2026
• Setting: 2 East Clinical Decision Unit (CDU), Short Term Acute Care, Teaching Hospital
• Shift: 3 x 12-hour Day Shifts (06:45 - 19:15)
• Hours per Week: 36 (Guaranteed)
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,350 - $1,420
• Charting / EHR: EPIC
• Scrub Color: White
• Parking: Free in any unrestricted space

Required Qualifications — PACU RN / Travel RN

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state licensure or compact as applicable)
• Minimum 18 months recent Telemetry/Acute Care experience required; 2 years preferred
• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience required
• Vasoactive drip experience required (inotropic/vasopressor management)
• Certifications: AHA or American Red Cross BLS and ACLS (must have at time of submission); NIHSS required prior to start
• Nicotine-free (negative 10-panel + Nicotine drug screen required)
• Ability to float within scope to all 3 hospitals within 20 miles as needed
• Complete required time-sensitive modules prior to start
• First-time travel nurses welcomed
• Successful completion of EKG and Pharmacology competency tests during orientation (2 attempts max)

Key Responsibilities — Post-Anesthesia Care Unit RN

• Provide high-quality post-anesthesia and PACU care for surgical and procedural patients
• Monitor and manage telemetry patients, PCU-level patients, and those on vasoactive drips
• Interpret cardiac rhythms, identify dysrhythmias, and collaborate with rapid response/code teams
• Administer blood products and manage central and peripheral IV access
• Provide oxygen therapy, non-invasive airway support, and basic ventilatory care as indicated
• Follow isolation precautions, PPE protocols, and hospital safety policies
• Float to other units within scope (telemetry, PCU, short-term acute care) as needed
• Accurate, timely documentation using EPIC electronic health record (EHR)
