Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in South Dakota or valid compact RN license
• Minimum 1 year of direct Med/Surg (medical-surgical) nursing experience required
• Experience with adult acute care, clinical assessment, and medication administration
• Comfortable and reliable working 12-hour night shifts
• Strong skills in patient monitoring, documentation, and EMR/charting
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient education abilities
• BLS certification preferred (American Heart Association)

Core Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered care for adults on the Med/Surg unit, following facility protocols
• Perform thorough nursing assessments and ongoing clinical monitoring of patients
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Maintain accurate medical records and complete timely charting in the EMR
• Deliver patient and family education, including discharge planning and follow-up instructions
• Support a positive night shift care environment and promote continuity of care
